Consumers set up a blockbuster holiday season at the Box Office
Led by YouTube, Google Sites Attracts 29 Percent of Online Video Market
LONDON, U.K., June 3, 2008 – Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today released data from the Comscore Video Metrix service, indicating that 23.2 million French Internet users viewed 2.1 billion videos online in January 2008. Comscore Video Metrix, which was the first to market in the U.S. more than two years ago, has become the leading service for online video measurement and is the only service of its kind in France.
French Video Site Dailymotion.com Second to Google Sites
Google Sites, driven by the popularity of YouTube.com (which accounted for 95 percent of all videos viewed on the property in January), attracted a 28.8 percent share of all online videos viewed in France. Despite its position as the top ranked video property in France, Google Sites’ recorded its lowest share of online video in France of any of the five reportable Comscore Video Metrix countries, recording a 47.9-percent share in Canada, a 41.6-percent share in Germany, a 45-percent share in the U.K., and a 33.4-percent share in the U.S.
French video sharing site, Dailymotion.com, ranked second with a 16.8-percent share of videos viewed, followed by two other French sites: Groupe TF1 Sites ( 1.9 percent share) and Iliad/Free.fr Sites ( 0.6 percent share).

French Internet Users Watched 90 Videos per Viewer in January
23.2 million French Internet users watched an average of 89.9 videos per viewer in January. Google sites attracted the most viewers (12.2 million), where they watched an average of 49.4 videos per person, followed closely by Dailymotion.com, which attracted 10 million viewers who watched an average of 34.9 videos per person. Groupe TF1 attracted the third most amount of viewers (4.2 million), followed by Microsoft Sites (also with 4.2 million) and AlloCine Sites (2.3 million).
