Comscore Keen to Address Needs of Asia’s Flourishing Digital Media Industry
Singapore, May 4, 2010– Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today announced the addition of several highly talented individuals to Comscore’s growing footprint in the Asia-Pacific region, including the introduction of an on-the-ground presence in Hong Kong, India and Australia. The appointments include Victor Cheng, sales director for Hong Kong, and Samantha Oh, account manager for Southeast Asia as well as Kedar Gavane with sales responsibilities for India and Kara Anglin with sales responsibilities for Australia.

Victor Cheng joins Comscore as sales director for Hong Kong, bringing 15 years of multimedia sales experience to his current role. Most recently, Mr. Cheng served as senior account director – ad sales & marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment – AXN/Animax where he was instrumental in growing sales within the Hong Kong operation while successfully building the venture into a key revenue generator. Prior to Sony Pictures, Mr. Cheng served as head of business development for MSN – Microsoft Corporation where he was the first leader of business development for MSN in Hong Kong, developing the operation from inception into one of the chief revenue centers for MSN in Asia. Mr. Cheng also served as deputy sales director for Emphasis Custom Media (a Time Warner Company), account manager in international sales for CNBC International/ Asia Business News, and as advertising sales executive for The Hong Kong Economic Times. Mr. Cheng holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Kedar Gavane will have sales responsibilities in India operating out of Mumbai. Mr. Gavane most recently served as founder and CEO of ViralSmith, a marketing analytics company focusing on achieving maximum ROI. Prior to ViralSmith, Mr. Gavane served as chief operating officer for BIGMRP, a subsidiary of Reliance Big Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. While at BIGMRP he spearheaded the online comparison shopping product from conception to completion, including business development, establishing a product roadmap and formulating a launch plan. Mr. Gavane also served as product head for BIGADDA.com, an online and mobile social network in India, where he managed strategy for the brand, overseeing and implementing a pipeline of products that focused on building revenue for the site. Mr. Gavane’s experience also includes serving as manager for corporate strategy and business development new media for Anandabazar Patrika Pvt. Ltd. as well as working as a software engineer for Infosys Technologies Ltd. Mr. Gavane holds a Bachelor of Engineering Computer Science degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science as well as a graduate degree from the Indian School of Business.
Kara Anglin will have sales responsibilities in Australia operating out of Sydney. Most recently Ms. Anglin served as manager of advertising research for Thomson Reuters based in New York. While at Reuters, she was responsible for the management of the U.S. and U.K. advertising research teams, while supporting sales teams in the U.S., Europe and Asia by fulfilling all research needs to help exceed sales targets. Prior to Reuters, Ms. Anglin served as senior research analyst at CBS Interactive where she was instrumental in developing and analyzing research reports on traffic to CBSNews.com and CBS.com. Ms. Anglin also previously served as an account specialist with Comscore MMX and as a field sales liaison for NorthPoint Communications. Ms. Anglin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Diego, California.
Samantha Oh joins Comscore’s Singapore team as an account manager for Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Comscore, Ms. Oh served as research manager for OMD Singapore where she managed all the research needs of OMD and PHD Singapore as well as data analysis and interpretation of consumer and media research reports. Prior to OMD, Ms. Oh was a senior executive with the recording media and energy division of Sony Marketing Asia Pacific where she was responsible for providing marketing support to sales companies in the region. Ms. Oh has also held multiple positions at both Millward Brown Asia Pacific and Acorn Marketing and Research Consultants Pte. Ltd. Ms. Oh holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of Singapore.
