Consumers set up a blockbuster holiday season at the Box Office
It was a big week for Connecticut sports fans as the UConn Huskies won their fifth men’s national title and brought an end to another year of the NCAA College Basketball Tournament.
Monday night’s telecast of the men’s championship game on WFSB (CBS) earned an average audience of nearly 260k households in the Hartford-New Haven, CT market, with approximately 3 in 10 households tuning in to watch the big game. Of those watching television at the time of the broadcast, 48% were tuned in to watch the University of Connecticut’s historic tournament run come to an end. This live average household rating is over 2x that of the national average, and nearly double that of the national average share as well.
