Consumers set up a blockbuster holiday season at the Box Office
The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) contains Data Protection laws which apply across the EU. It contains a single set of rules which govern how personal data, as defined by the GDPR, is processed. The GDPR, applies to organizations established both in and outside the EU that process EU residents’ personal data.
In preparation for the GDPR, Comscore formed a cross-functional team composed of Comscore’s Chief Privacy Officer, EU Data Protection Officer, Legal Privacy Team, and senior representatives from Comscore’s Information Security, Engineering, Product Management, and Technology teams.
As part of Comscore’s ongoing commitment to transparency, control, and security, our GDPR team focused on reviewing the GDPR and its impact to our business, and on working together towards GDPR compliance.
In 2018, we updated our privacy policies to help people understand how we work to give them transparency and tools for meaningful control over what data we collect about them, how it is used, and when it is shared.
Our privacy policies provide information about what information we collect and why, how we share the information we collect, individual choices about personal information, how we protect information, and international data transfers. For additional information about specific GDPR requirements, we have also included a supplemental GDPR policy.

We use technical, physical, and organizational controls as part of a multilayered approach to data security. These controls provide data protection that is regularly reviewed by internal and external auditors to ensure the company gathers and processes data in ways that are consistent with its privacy policies, industry best practices, and applicable laws and regulations. At Comscore, we believe you should have access to your information regardless of where you are located.
