Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

If you are a resident of Nevada or Washington, you may have rights with respect to the personal data Comscore, Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Comscore”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collect that is considered “consumer health data” under laws in these states. This notice applies only to data that constitutes “consumer health data” regulated under the Nevada consumer health data law (“NCHD”) and the Washington My Health My Data Act (“WMHMDA”) (collectively, “CHD Laws”).

Consumer Health Data Collection

Comscore may collect health information when you participate in any of our research panels, take a survey, or otherwise provide such data to us. Specifically, we may collect the following categories of consumer health data:

  • Health conditions and diagnosis information. Information about present or past injuries, conditions, symptoms, tests, measurements, or diagnoses.
  • Treatment, medication, or prescription information. Information about treatment plans, surgeries and procedures, use or acquisition of medications and prescriptions, or other physical or mental health interventions.
  • Receipt of healthcare services. Information about reproductive care or sexual health information, gender-affirming care, or other health services or supplies.
  • Inferred health data. Information that is derived or extrapolated from other information we collect that is used to associate or identify a consumer with a health status.

We collect these categories of data from consumers like you, such as: (a) when you register for or participate in one of our research panels, or (b) when you provide consumer health data to us in any other manner, such as through survey responses. For example, when you choose to participate in one of our research panels by voluntarily downloading and enabling our Software (as defined in the respective privacy policy that governs each panel), we may collect consumer health data through the Software or infer such data from collected information. If you participate in a panel or survey, we may also infer or associate consumer health data based on information we have collected from third parties or other information we have collected from you.

Our Purpose

We collect consumer health data to (a) help us make predictions and evaluations about current and future digital consumption behavior, including based on inferences drawn from the collected information, (b) manage your panel participation, (c) operate and improve our products and services, (d) communicate with you, (e) provide you with information or services that you have requested, such as rewards or incentives for panel participation (f) provide our products and services to our customers, (g) comply with law, or (h) with your consent.

Our Privacy Policy provides additional information on how we may use personal information about you. In addition, please note that Comscore subsidiaries operate several research panels. Each panel is governed by the privacy policy that appears on the website assigned to that research panel.

Recipients of Consumer Health Data

We may share consumer health data with our service providers or as necessary to provide products and services you have requested, or otherwise with your consent. We do not “sell” consumer health data, as that term is defined by the CHD Laws.

Consumer Health Data Rights

Nevada and Washington residents have certain rights with respect to consumer health data we collect. If you are a Nevada or Washington resident, you may choose to exercise the following rights regarding consumer health data we collect about you, subject to certain exceptions and limitations.

  • The right to confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling consumer health data about you.
  • The right to access consumer health data we collected about you.
  • The right to access a list of all third-party recipients of consumer health data we collected about you.
  • The right to request that we delete the consumer health data we collected about you.
  • The right to request that we stop collecting or sharing consumer health data about you. Please note that if you stop our collection or sharing of consumer health data, we may be unable to provide you with some services.
  • The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of the above consumer health data rights.
